  1. I saw on the news where the 44th ranked luge man died. It showed a video of him hitting the steel pole that took his life. Very sad.

  2. woah, there's a video of it? I have not seen that, but I did read about the crash. Terrible. I wonder what impact seeing death has on the human mind? Any thoughts?

  3. For some reason I noticed that death has nothing to do with any logic center of our minds. We can remember things better when they are associated with death. Death is a big emotion trigger. It even serves as artistic motivation. However, we never think, "that person died because he needed to" or "his velocity hadn't slowed to a speed needed to round the turn sufficiently and thats why he died." I wonder why that is.

  5. it seems to me that every winter olympics they try to push the challenges more and more extreme. When is enought going to be enough, i guess someone had to die before they realized that maybe the human body cant travel at 90mph and be safe

  9. It seems that the olympics are becoming dangerous just to make it intersting. I can't believe that's what its coming to. Also, the media had a field day that day the olympic died which makes it ridiculous.

  14. All these events at the winter olympics seem like you can possibly die in them. There is alot of training put into all this. By looking at the picture, you can probably admit that she has been practicing for years.

  15. she looks very scared and looks like she is going to eat crap. I hate skiing because it is too hard to control and you can easily fall
