How much individual freedom or comfort would you give up to be safe from terrorists?

  1. Well isn't it enough what we are already have given up for safetly. Airports like LAX have already taken away so of are privacy. Also, theme parks like Disneyland have also turned like LAX.

  2. HA! I sure as won't give up more of my freedom to be safe. Come on, so the government will protect me from terrorist, but will they protect me when i walk to the liqour and get jumped by thugs. Nobody is safe anymore, it is the times that we are in. All of this technologies and scientific advances are the cause of the times getting worse. Terrorist communicate with their suicide bombers using cell phones. They are using our own weapons against us.

  3. I wont give alot of indidual freedom or comfort because where ever we go we would be searched and done others things. We already have alot of that and i would not like to give more of my freedom and comfort for terrorist just to be protected I think that the problem is gone out the governments hands and they cant protect us.

  4. I already feel like i've given up a lot of freedom. We can't even bring a water bottle on an airplane anymore. Flying anywhere is now probably more difficult and frustrating than driving somewhere.
No matter how much comfort and freedoms i give up there is no way to be 100% safe from terrorists, so what's the point really?

  5. I think that the body scanners is a good idea. If it makes flying safer and atleast saves one life then i think it is worth it. The person that is watching the body scanner is actually in a different room and can not actually see what you look like in person. I think that flying is a privilege and if you want to fly then you need to obeyed by the rules and do what is safe.

  6. Well we have given up enough privacy already!!! Not even with all this new technology can we see who is a terrorist...some airports should start fixing their old technology. Their security cameras don't even function correctly.

  8. Body scanners are a good idea. Giving up some privacy compared to the security there is to gain makes it worth it.

  9. i wouldn't give any more of my freedom to the government. They have already taken enough..why would they need more. I mean it is a free country! if they take anymore we might as well not call it a "free country" anymore.

  10. Not that much. If its my time to go then its my time to go. I cant fight whats supposed to happen. I especially wouldn't lock myself in a cylinder because then your alone and being safe wouldn't be worth it.

  11. I agree on the fact that we have given up a lot of freedom in these past few years. I believe the government is trying to keep us safe but it's not working very well since terrorists keep finding new ways to get past all the safety checks and causing more scares. Its just going to get worse from here and there is nothing we can do about it. Its really sad that people have to live in fear of dying because they want or have to fly.
